It is NOT my intent to split hairs with you;but the Microtel is on the other side of town of the restaurant you speak of,not? You mean the place by Runnings,right? They give potential Drivers a Rent-A-Car?

 

This guy is falling for all the carrots. If he gets through training and 6 months by his self with this company. I'll be very surprised.

 

I really hope it works for you two.Even though Schugel is in my hometown-I know next to nothing about em since they said good-bye to their flatbed division. I will say this and it means next to nothing-but when I am home I always talk to Schugel drivers I see (time allowing) and most seem OK with their situation. No B.S. Just fact. Again..I really hope continued success is yours and if so, (or if not) keep posting..

 

Well I'm going on 6 years here and pretty happy with them, it works for me. I think there pretty fair and will work with you and not against you. Don't really know anything about the lease here, I'm on the company dry van side.

It was never really a dream of mine to own a truck and the responsibility that came with it. I have talk to some that have done well with it and some that have not, so who really knows. I will say this though, I never thought this was the right company for teams, at least that's what I gather from teams I talk to.

I'm glad things are going good for you though and much success in the future.

I'm not "Falling for their carrots." I have just spoken with several drivers from Schugel and I have listened to what they have all said about the company. And it has all been positive.

When I call my recruiter, she remembers who I am. Not just my name, but about me. She has even called ME to see how school was going and how I was making out on everything (the only company to do this by the way).

I received 5 letters of pre-hire while in school. Not one of the other companies knew who I was when I would call them back until I gave them SSN so they could look me up in their system. Rachelle (the recruiter that I have been working with) knew me by name the first time and every time I have talked to her. How many other companies can you say that for??

Like I said, for ME, this is the company that I want to be with, for many reasons. I just cant wait to get started.
I go for my test next week and am looking forward to getting to orientation and getting on the road.
