Make sure you read it through before signing. I'd opt for the basic accounting service too... it's worth it for the amount of time it saves me every week.

Another very busy day with less hurry up and wait so that was good. However I didnt get to go pick a truck this afternoon. They only took 6 or 7 guys who were mostly company drivers upgrading to lease over to truck lineup. So hopefully I get to go tomorrow. He said they had mostly caught up to the truck shortage and expected to have us all seated no later than friday. So that was good to hear.
jomar68 Thanks this. -
Well today wasnt as busy but seemed to pass quickly. Got excited because I was told they had some flatbed trucks ready to look at but that turned out to be a lot of hot air. She had "two surprise" drivers that needed trucks today supposedly. So I made the trip over to the yard for nothing. I was hoping to be rolling by friday but thats not lookin good right now. Since I live less than 2hrs away I didnt bring any gear with me. Being prior lease operator from my previous carrier I have most of the equipment I need in my garage so once Im finally in my truck I'll roll home and get my gear.

That is when the fun begins putting stuff in a certain place and then realize you had more stuff than you thought.

Well its official Im a Prime associate. Picked a new Cascadia out today but it had dash light issues so the shop has to look at it. So definitely be tomorrow before Im rolling. Payment on truck is $854 plus apu $70. I havent added my other costs up yet.
-
Hey, congrats on the new addition...

Ok total fixed costs including truck will be about $1050/wk. However its a new truck so my maintenance costs compared to the old truck I was driving are going to be quite a bit less. Not to mention Im going from a 6mpg truck to one that should get 8+mpg which easily lowers my fuel cost $400/wk at current fuel prices. My fleet manager is highly spoken of by his current drivers so thats a definite plus. I did find out my recruiter was wrong about my hometime for the regional area Im running but my understanding is that somethings are changing and that she might have just jumped the gun a bit. Instead of home every week it will be every other week which is still fine with me. Prime is trying to develop a true south central regional division but right now its still mainly a Texas regional. So this is why I think my recruiter was wrong but unintentionally. Either way I'll still be running the area I want mostly. If they get this going as a true south central regional instead of mostly Texas regional then my hometime should easily be weekly.
