Hey guys I justed wanted to give an update its been awhile since I have had a chance to get on here and chat. Well I have to say that averitt has been an awsome experince. I am on the hancock fabric account and I HAVE THE BEST FM AND TEAM ANYBODY COULD ASK FOR. I started out running a trip that started in south texas and ends up in vegas to final out then its off to los angeles to pick up and head back to the hancock wharehouse its 4600 miles round trip it takes 8 days. So I asked if I could run that trip all the time and they said sure if I wanted to that was fine with them. So far making the switch to averitt has been great I love my dedicated route, my fm and team, o and my 2012 frieghtliner is pretty nice too. They treat you like your a person and not just another truck driver. I have driven for 8 years now and this is the first place that i have felt like i was part of a team and that they actually cared about me. I can not say enough to thank you big mike for all the info and hopefully i can be of help to someone as well. You guys be safe and I will hope to see you out there sometime soon.

Is that Hancock Fabric account a team only account?
Glp Thanks this. -
The run is suppose to be...
last week I ended up with 3200 miles plus around 300 bucks in breakdown. Sadly im thinking about another job because the truck is holding me up from driving because of breakdowns. They refuse to stick me in a newer truck. -
I'm broke down in Nashville. Power steering still, they did some work on it but forgot to tighten the fitting and the fluid drained out. I was able to deliver and made it to nas. Missed an LTL load to Raleigh because of it. I'm sitting in the yard now. I have no clue what they are going to do with me since I have the sleep study on Thursday. This week is sucking pretty hard right now. I've got about 100 miles. Not happy.

Cory, I'm confused it sounds like you had a great week from what you posted, the old trucks suck but if you broke down and still got 3200 and breakdown pay thats almost unheard of for a week! Not going to get much better than that, keep em Rollin!!!

I was thinking the same thing JBS.

Lol I worded it wrong. I'm getting good miles but the breakdown is getting to be a problem. I'm having to take mort shorter trips and I'm losing my long trip because of breakdown.
I spend 8 hours in shop getting a new computer, exhaust pipe, starter and fluids changed and I got 10 feet from shop and it died. I put down my pta for tomorrow since I had to do a 34 hour restart and while I was in the shop they sent aload assignment to pick up today. Well I was in shop so no signal. I get signal and I tell them I can't do the load because of a restart. They told me that the amount of delay time to tell them this was unacceptable. I told them that if I'm on a restart then I'm off duty. If you have a message for me call me. I may not be in my truck. -
The last two weeks have been interesting. Spent a good bit of time in the shop last week but the truck is good to go now. Between miles and breakdown pay I did alright. This week I've been plagued by short loads with next day delivery appointments. Today I spent 4 hours at a Walmart DC waiting. It cost me a load to Chicago and then another one to Mississippi. I ended up getting a 250 mile load from Loudon TN to Alpharetta GA. Hopefully the next couple of days will add some meat to the miles.
How have your miles been? -
