Actually the first project is from Camrose to east of highway 6 south of Regina and ends at the Sask., North Dakota/Montana border.

If you send me a Resume, make sure you also tell me your "Handle" on this site.

I was SO tempted to click on that link. I am still trying to rationalise my hope to once again drive with the promise of a decent paycheque.
In the seventies there was money to be made. I continually monitor this thread and I have hopes of being able once again to do something I love and actually make a decent living doing it.
I am not asking for much in my opinion. I want to make maybe 60 grand a year working 50 hours a week . Is that possible ?

I don't know prairie boy personally. However from the way he speaks here he seems like a straight shooter from the old echool.

The Road Transportation Industry has to change for the future by looking at the past. It needs to go back to the old school idea of the mom and pop company and start treating drivers like family and stop the high over turn rate that is killing the industry for over 20 years. If your company thinks that there is a unlimited supply of drivers out there and your over turn rate is more then 10%, then you have a super big and massive problem. Soon or later your company will not be able to find drivers at all. People who are treated badly will pass the word from one driver to another by word of mouth or by the internet about the company and how they treat their drivers.

It all about KARMA and how you treat people.

If you keep your drivers happy and treat them good, you will have a good and happy crew who will work hard for the company preparation put 110% back in to your company.

If you treat drivers badly, your over turn rate will be massive over all and will cost the company a massive amount of money in the long run and ruining the companies reparation as a viable business.

The massive disillusion and misinformation of the old idea that there is a unlimited supply of commerical drivers in the world to fill the positions in your company is completely a gigantic fantasy and falls into the world of science fiction movies.

It's time to get out of the fantasy world and get back to the to reality in the real world of the Transportation Industry.

If the wheels are not moving, then you are not going to make any money and your truck is a giant paper weight.

No drivers = No business = No money.

Unfortunately there is always another young guy who doesn't know better. Or an east ind8an who has no concept of safety rules applying to them and is willing to work cheaper. So yes there are plenty of steering wheel holders available. Maybe when the carnage starts to resemble some foreign countries the government will regulate it
