30 cpm isnt too bad. but con way, at least up here, does a lot of ltl terminal runs. which means not that many miles. depending on your home time needs and what you want to do id check out some regional companies (like gti out west) or anything with under 2000 power units. youll see more n drive more for the same pay or better. even just starting out.

My brother works for CFI. He doesn't have many complaints about them. They have been running him pretty steady since he started. He is always home on the day he wants to be. He doesn't not do any LTL work. Most of it is 700 miles or better per run. Every so often he will do a Con-Way linehaul run but those are usually 500 mile plus and drop and hook on both ends. His biggest complaint is his truck. He is not a fan of KW's.

When Con-Way first started out in the early 80's they were the non union side of Consolidated Freightways {CF or Corn Flake on the radio} Mostly did terminal to terminal LTL pulling wiggle wagons. They had a truckload division that did shipper to receiver direct. They were one of the best paying non union jobs out there.

GTI recruiters are very aloof... they act like they are doing you a favor just talking with you.
I've tried to get a answer from them but they won't return calls. They used to be a really good company.
    Not so sure now.
