Nothing for me to report. I am finishes up my hometime today. Im looking foward to getting back on the road.
Somethings I noticed when I got home. My 2011 Silverado felt so tiny!!! It was felt like I was all over the place with it. Not until I hooked my 30ft camping trailer to it did it start to feel normal lol. The other thing I noticed.. The teachings of my instructor must have really sunk in. I found myself sitting in the passanger seat. "instructing" my wife on driving safely and pointing out the issues. LOL

Hi! I was so sad to see this thread end. I am going to do the refresher course with Prime if everything works out. Just applied today. I am so excited and appreciate mdmedigod and all the others who have shared their experiences. I know to have all my paperwork, be honest and early! Wish me luck!

Good luck and I hope to be there soon

Well, this thread hasn't ended per se. My Prime Adventure ended April 17th. I had already completed about 10,000 TnT miles in about 2.5 weeks of driving. However, I personally was struggeling with trying to get quality sleep during the my night shift of driving. Despite stoping and stretching etc. My body kept want to fall asleep around 4 a.m.. It got to the point that my mind got the got the best of me and I pysched my self out that I wasn't able to do it. Despite my trainer having all the confidence in me. I left my fear get the best of me. I didnt feel. I was safe driving at night with all that fear..
I LOVE PRIME.. It is a great company to work for. I miss it everyday and wish I stuck it out but, hindsight is 20/20. I would possibly like to come back someday...
So what am I doing now? Well it took a couple weeks but, I have landed a local job with Coca Cola driving bulk loads to national accounts i.e. walmarts, grocery stores.. Pretty much buck up to their docks and drop pallet loads of product. I am still here lurking -
I will also be heading there the second week of June!

That is the hardest part of adjusting to the "OTR lifestyle..." getting your sleep adjusted. I still get drowsy around 0300-0600, and do my best to be able to stop for a nap during that period... 45 minutes or an hour. If you let it get longer than that, you'll get into REM sleep, and will wake up more tired than when you started. Sometimes you can't... and those are the tough nights.

Its a wierd phenomenom. I would be so tired to the point of dozing off but, as soon as the sun broke the horizon. I wouldn't be as tired anyomore.
