On Kevin Rutherfords show on XM radio he tells of people who make money in trucks they bought for as low as 15K. So I know it can be done. Do the big lease companies actually have rules about how old your rig is even if the trailer they give you looks new??

Yes they do have age limits, there are some companies (landstar, Mercer, Malone) just to name a few that have no age limit just be able to pass dot inspection. As far as 15k truck making money this is true but also seen them cost 20k in overhaul when headgasket or something goes, not trying to detour you but really do your homework. There are a lot of things that Kevin Rutherford says that is good but some things are a lil out there but if a person knows what they are getting into before they jump you'll have a better chance of being successful
