Just got back from a interview in Northlake Illinois they pay 99 dollars a day and Chinese pay after 40 hours don't really know what that means but they are a union shop manager told me the job is easy the trucks are already preloaded for the drivers and they have autos/manuals but the manuals are taken by the guys with much seniority.....So my question is if they call and offer you guys the job what would you do? Remember I have no experience and in the school right now trying to get my cdl

First I'd find out what Chinese pay is. I can't even find a reference to it anywhere. $99/day is really low though, but you'll be local and can get some experience to find a better paying local gig later. Guess it depends on if you think the low pay is worth it for you.

*Edit* Found something talking about it here. http://www.overtime-flsa.com/what-is-chinese-overtime I can't say if that's what they're talking about for sure though. Pretty much sounds like a way to pay you less for overtime.

From what I know about Snapple... you get a daily rate of 99 then a per case rate... every office is different but I would ask as many questions as possible..

It means that you are a salary employee under the labor laws but your not screwed as bad as a normal salary employee who by law doesn't have to be paid a penny more if they work over 40 hours.

There are some benefits to being a salary employee which very a little from state to state and in this case according to the union contract. In which you can request a copy of the labor contract .and have it explained to you by an authorized union rep (normal a shop steward).
