We have two inch straps that work in the wheel well areas, and the ratchets will hook under the well lips. Also as stated going diagonal works also. There is also a four inch ratchet that can be hooked on the rub rail in your box zone and also under the lip in other areas. On some flats the sliding winches don't go under the wheel areas and in there they work great.

Sure helps to have a lot of options in the open deck world!

could you guys post a pic of this winch your talking about please.

i talked at the utah scale. looks like my best option is to use vboards. then i don't have to worry about the dead space areas.

i really hate using trailers that can't be used in the way they were meant to be used. can't wait for my ship to come in like some of you other fine folks so i can buy my OWN trailer. :biggrin_2559:

I would like to have a dime each time I wished I had J-hooks.
My box on the right sticks out just enough to block my winches :biggrin_25510:.

I have a 2' dead spot on front of the front axle due to my container locks (I have never hauled a container) :biggrin_25510: .

I would like my winches to slide from the front all the way to the front axle. I don't think that is too much to ask.

You can get them from a variety of places, but I've found myteeproducts.com to be the cheapest so far.
