Hi all. I am new to these forums. First off I would like to say thank you for all the posts stories and information you guys have posted on here, I've really enjoyed reading them.

One question I have about prime is after the t&t phase of the schooling when you get your own truck (going solo) do you have the option of getting a full size truck if you are a company driver? I know you get 5 c more per mile if you get the lightweight but if you do want the full are you sure to get one or is it based on availability? Thank you

Nope, you will go into a Light Weight. Now if you are smart and speak really nice to the leasing folks (they handle all the trucks to include Company trucks) and can talk sweet to your FM then try to get into an INternational, they have more room and are set up better. Hope this helps you.

You can get into a larger truck on the company side by either teaming or training. Lease ops almost always go for a larger truck, although I know folks who lease a lightweight.

BTW, jumping into the lease program without an adequate period learning your craft on the company side is really stupid.
