As to the separation notices for the 401k's, I am asking about that. Need mine too. I'm sure they're a bit swamped. Have you called and asked for that?

I believe you. I have worked for a postal contract and have seen the inner workings of the USPS. I worked for MT Transportation and they too were doing the same thing that is being claimed here. They were withholding H/W monies from the employees. When I left in 09' and moved to TX, I had recieved a check from the Dept. of Labor for the money that was owed to me. It is sad to see another company possibly doing the same thing because I know that TH got a couple of runs that were divided out from the Bethpage NY L&DC.

I do feel that you did what you could to get your drivers back. I also hope that if all this is true, that you find another job soon so things don't go bad for you and your family.

It wasn't so much they withheld it, they were putting it into a 401k. Sadly, they were not able to make all the contributions in a timely manner. As Jeff had stated, I did get some of my guy's monies paid in. The owner told me he was working on a deal w/ the DOL to get them paid up. Again, I am not really authorized to speak for the company and am not -- I am just trying to help people who are hurting to figure out why. I KNOW they are mad and scared and hurt. MANY of them can and will go to the next contractor. As for me, I don't know. I am really burnt out in dealing w/ the PO over the years. Just as a driver has been interesting, but dealing w/ them in management... ack! Often, they just do not live in the realm of reality. I have told them numerous times that a run cannot be run legally and that is why it's late -- their answer "We don't care." My answer is that I am not going to tell my drivers to break the law.

Eventually, things will work out -- they always do. I need to work on my websites anyway. I have been too stressed as of late to do anything creative.

To all my drivers (FWIW): It has been great and I am honored to have had such good drivers. You did your jobs well. The best in the fleet!!!

I guess they must do things differently out east. Our GPS compliance runs 97-99% and we've never been questioned on it. We've had a great working relationship with the PO. It goes both ways. Someone earlier mentioned Midwest Transit, they didn't last long up here. You can't bid runs below cost and expect to keep a run going these days.

See a lot of Trojan trucks at the Chicago Postal Hub outside of Chicago. Nasty looking equipment, but they must get the job done.

Is strange huh? The woman specifically said she would NOT accept GPS data. ###### backwards. Oh well. Where are you? I used to drive out West too.

The MidWest thing is a long time ago... his Dad's company that a partner took 10 years ago. Way different owners now. Don't know them. Anyway, I am just ground out. My equipment was in pretty good shape. Not like the Chicago stuff. Not my area. It was in 2008...back then, I fixed all that stuff.

I had to find my own way home which was 500 miles away-that doesn't leave me with a warm ,fuzzy feeling-I don't know what caused everything to go bad.I do know I really liked my job and that I knew a lot of really good drivers- the mechanics were excellent-the equipment wasn't pretty but it was satisfactory.I can't speak for anyone else but I will miss all those I worked with in the past 3years and 2 months.I hope they are able to get our pay checks to us-I will be 1st in line filing for emergency food stamps Monday am.That really, really sucks.---Steven L White

Oh that's horrible. WHO was your manager? No, please PM me offlist. AFAIK, everyone got back -- someone dropped the ball. Man, I am sorry! Again, as I have written, to ME, there is more to being a manager than a title. Some people think that having the title means they do less work -- it doesn't. It also means YOU are responsible for your people. Getting them home here, would qualify. Again, please PM me offlist. :biggrin_25523:
