I have an 07 m2 with a no crank no start...I have power everywhere is should be...starter alt power block on the fender well but when I key up the truck I get a beep and no gauge sweep or codes. I removed the starter tested it comes back fine, completely cleaned and sealed the fuse block outside great battery power but now I am lost. am a 1 man show for a small company and no scanners are available to me, so ideas without breaking the bank?

Does it have a clutch pedal safety switch?

first thing to check is if you get voltage to the starter while cranking. If so, there is something stopping the engine from turning (and continuing to try may wreck your starter.) If not, there is an electrical problem before the starter.

It doesn't appear to be the starter. I would check fuses, but I'm thinking you wouldn't even get a beep out of it (check them anyway). My '07 387 (ISX) has a couple of fuses at the batteries. When I forgot to put one back in, the gauges wouldn't sweep nor would the engine turn over. Something is telling the ECM not to run checks when the key is turned on.

    What transmission do you have?

The no gauge sweep is the puzzler. When you are getting no power to the starter solenoid and the ECM is not doing it's self diagnostics I would think it was the ignition switch. But you could have two separate problems which in case the posts above are highly possible.

That ignition switch has little copper contacts in it that can break and throw you for a loop. Sometimes when one goes bad you can see heat damage on the backside of the switch. But you will have to break out a DVOM and do some checking to isolate the problem.

Just reread your post.. so I am editting this.. There is a solenoid on the firewall some where make a jumper wire across it with the key on AND TRUCK OUT OF GEAR.. see if it turns over... Sounds like ignition switch or a naked wire grounding out..

He is right turn the ignition switch on and start it by a solenoid spark up...you can locate it off the starter follow the wires up....if it cranks then start in you battery box twisting and tighting every wire and find you lose ground...

sounds silly but push the key hard into the ignition and then turn.
