Dont kid yourself. Guess you werent around for the strike in 79'. 1,000's upon 1,000's of trucks striking, along with 1,000's more in major convoys across the country. I remember my dad sitting on a few overpasses above the RR tracks stooting the reefers out on all trailers to spoil whatever inside. It was funny. You want to know where it got the truck drivers a week later? Nothing more...Nothing less than what they had the week before. Get real if you think other businesses would be backing ANYONE else up other than themselves. Welcome to corporate america. Welcome to Capitalism. Be safe out there drivers.

Twinkies went out of business cause nobody wants to give their kids diabetes. Bread was way higher then other breads. Other breads taste the same and was cheaper. It was just free business. It's a competitive world they had a good run just no one buying there stuff anymore is why they went out of business. The employees wanted more money in a dying company. I've had a Twinkie an average of once a year maybe.

Thats a real funny joke. Get a grip. No one supports anyone or anything thats clueless. You have to be able to get real for anyone to take you serious. No one has even come close with a legitimate platform to even start a strike since this thread has even started. Just a few "yes-men" that are even clueless to the reasons of why. Seems more like a cow-chip throwing contest to see who can throw the cow-chip the farthest. Do some research, the "new breed" doesnt have ANY bite. Strikes about as much fear as a toothless dog. Your "new breed" is nothing more than a good laugh. Trust me, big business would do the same. Be safe out there drivers.

But one thing that is missing from your comment is tactics. How to do it right.

There are enough vets out here trucking that could figure this out if they wanted to. You do NOT need a nationwide shutdown strike kind of thing. Just targeting two major urban centers with a 3 day "no trucks in, no trucks out" deal. Everyone could continue to run around the country and do their thing and play dumb about the whole thing. Meanwhile, since just 72 hrs of no products going in would cripple any major metro area, the point is made. Folks could continue to haul freight and play stupid about any targeted shutdown. Hence, no one to go after legally.

Just as we do not need to place a bomb every square foot on a country to immobilize it, there is no need to have a nationwide shutdown. Well thought out, strategic, surgical attacks always work best. And that is why we only need to "strike" a couple of major cities in the US to have good effect. You shut down the whole nation with some idiotic nationwide strike and then you will turn the entire country against you. Totally defeating your purpose.
