Try sleeping in a hammock under the trailer where I'm at this evening: The Petro in West Memphis. I imagine this poop-hole might have been ok at some point way before me, I just can't see it. Then again, I'm not much of a "people person", and West Memphis is what made me that way.

I spent/spend most of my time out west in the wide open country with nothing around......
shut the truck down, you can hear the metal cooling. -
I wish I spent more time out west. Every now and then I'll get a load headed out that way. And everyime I do get a nice load, I have to pay for it by spending at least 3 nights in West Memphis for every one load out west. There is absolutely no justice in the world

It's kewl when you can wake up next to the truck and just look up at all the stars and be glad you have the job that lets that happen.
-
It certainly beats waking up and the only lights you see are full-growns with blue lights going because CR England backed into someone already parked where he was trying to back into.

Old school is doing an emergency stop when the low air pressure alarm goes off, securing all contents of your cab over and popping the cab, finding the air line is missing a 3" section, pulling out the tools, torch, and a section of copper pipe, welding a new section of pipe, and then getting back under way in less than an hour... in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming.
Tool box... oh yeah, I think I've seen a few of them in today's trucks... -
Today they want to take out the passenger seat for a larger refrigerator , years back it would have been for a BIGGER tool box. Remember going for interviews and 1 question that was asked was Do You Have Tools
-
Today you're lucky to see drivers carry a screwdriver and a pair of pliers....Logan76 Thanks this.
-
Speaking of screwdrivers and pliers, these are the two tools I always lose. Does anyone else have this problem? My other tools are always right where they should be but I swear my pliers and screwdrivers walk off on their own to some unknown location in my truck.'olhand Thanks this.

It's a conspiracy......Maybe you could go over to the Political Section and consult one of the members there......At your own risk of course.....
DirtyBob Thanks this.
