    Is there a way to check the fault codes with out a computer. On my 2007 classic you could count the flashing light and get the code number then look it up

    On my 2001 770, you use the wiper stalk. Push the buttons until you see diagnostics & go from there.

    Use the wiper stalk and move all the way down on the dash past the gauge options and there is another menu that come up it will say diagnostics on that menu go Ito the diagnostic and then you can rea the codes for the separate ECMs wich for a volvo its every single system the diagnostics it's actually more advanced then any other truck out there.
