it sucks i can tell you that...you know im gonna be real honest with you this speed they cut us on is making the drivers want and need to run illegal just to make up for lost wages. I have talked to a couple drivers recently that are doing so. The company wants to save money while taking it out of the drivers pockets.
Just a quick break down for you
11x63mph= 693 miles a day
before 11x68mph =748
55 miles a day difference
not to bad you say only 17.60 a day right?
123.20 a week
492.80 a month
5,913.60 a year
your gonna have more problems im telling ya...i know its not you but im just telling ya.....

Ok so I can manage my time enough to go to the beach for a day and make my deliveries on time
sweety you dont wanna go to the beaches where I drive. You can go to Laredo with me though and watch the mexicans jump from car to car on the trains that go by me on the east side of the interstate -
Now you know you can drive more than 11 hours in a day, right? If you do it right!
But I get your point and trust me I am getting the heat from it all, really I am.
I am the counselor/nice log lady, l.o.l. Many don't find me to be mean (well in orientation they might).
All I can say is voice your opinion to the one's who are not peons (I am a manager, but a peon). I was told they changed by my fellow drivers not by anyone else
. Hang in there I feel things will be getting better soon
.

If I did that split sleeper stuff I would be in your office everyday. I just drive my hours and go to bed and get up the next day and do it all over again. -
just move on plenty of jobs north of texas and some in it . if ya wanna move.
Good luck pit bull sounds like you need it -
I will add Pitbull that what I have seen is drivers will quit and I swear about 70% of them come back withing 2 weeks to 60 days after finding the grass isn't any greener on the other side. It's just like a relationship for the most part. Now I had the other 30% leave and not come back.
The bad part is you lost time in orientation 3x's (the first time, the new company and then the 2nd time) and the benefits etc. So I hate to see someone not take a chance on bettering them selves (firm believe in that) but I also hate to see someone not hang in there for the rough times.
Trust me, you drivers are the companies focus. We just work there
.
Don't get me wrong I love working there and I agree the drivers are what runs our company but what about us office people in there ? If it wasn't for us making sure you guys are running legal we would be shut down by DOT and there would be no job for all of the drivers.
They was at that point one time in their life (nope I didn't work there, did prior and after and all audits was satisfactory when I was there). But I really don't know what I am talking about
hang in there and don't blame me please -
I live way north of Texas I just am always in Texas which Im not complaining really. I love Texas compared to the northeast, chicago and cali

No if you sat down with me for about 1 hour and learn the split breaking you wouldn't need to run illegal for the most part. Trust me it's very simple and catch me on a good day and I won't let you leave until you learn it
Make sure it's a good day, I am so busy trying to catch up (well then again, that's never going to happen is it)
-
Im not blaming you. Trust me! To be honest i really like it here. I dont get bother by dispatch I get my load and off I go I dont hear from anyone for a couple days and I like it. I just gotta make sure my logs are scanned in so I dont hear from anyone...lol.
