It's awful funny how people work for the company for 2-3 years and have negative things to say. What I am wondering is why would you stay with a company for that long if it wasn't a good fit for you. They must be doing something right to be in business for over 25 years.

tewks - how long have you been with them? Do they run you illegal, like some of the old posts say? Are the logs paper or electronic?

    Thanks for your input!

Pam I've been there about three months and I've read most of old posts. No ones asked me to run illegal not even close. One time I was tired asked for a relay had it done no prob.As of now you have your choice when you hire paper or e log so no one makes you do anything I'm out of hours I'm out and done.As you can tell I'm e log.How ever after much research I'm thinking of switching to paper logs. The reason I didnt is some post on here scared me.How ever after talking to many many drivers not one of them has had a similar experience as some old post.Actually quit the opposite. This is the first company were NONE of the CURRENT drivers slam the company.Everyone enjoys it and most have been there a very long time.If you do go paper and get any over hrs violation your forced to go e log.

I take it then that they no longer do the Ford PRC overnight runs to Windsor Locks, CT and Cranbury, NJ? Windsor Locks especially could not be done legally, and it HAD to be there on time, no if's ands or buts. I'd heard of more than one driver being told to run it or clean out his truck when I worked there. I ran both of those two almost exclusively for three years.

Who is angry? Doesn't matter to me, I'm not there anymore. If it has improved since '07-'09 then I am happy for everybody there. Cranbury was the easier of the two, it was only challenging if they had you go north for a reload before you shut down. What about Windsor Locks, CT? I notice you left that one out. There were 3 drivers busted once at the scale in Danbury on their way in during morning rush. Luckily I wasn't one of them. ;)

We did have a few at the time that insisted on running legal. They never lasted long because they couldn't get enough miles. Once upon a time there were guys who ran overnights to Cranbury, unloaded and came all the way back to MI before shutting down. 3 rounds a week. It was good money, I heard. Then FMC pulled the plug on mty returns and they started getting us brokered backhauls that we had to load before shutting down.

I do not driver for AD Transport but based on this thread, it seems like they'd be a VERY good choice. I agree with the person that asked WHY a person would work for someone for 2-3 years while having so much to complain about. Good question.

Personally, I drive my truck. I deliver my loads on time and legally unless I just feel like driving, then the driving is illegal but it's my choice. I've worked for companies that will give me a load and its perameters. When I am loaded, if there were any issues, I give them my eta and that is what they have to work with. Period. I communicate with them at the earliest possiible moment and I have NEVER had a real problem, yet. (knock on wood). I've also never had a company fire me. I've had three jobs in 22 years of driving. one company closed the doors. I left the second company for a company that promised me more home time when my grand kids were born. They kept their promise and I keep mine.

It seems that there are a few people that while they may be able to drive a truck, they may not be well suited for the job. Truck drivers are sopposed to be manly men (and women) that are good communicators and that are responsible. Tell them what you want, make sure that it is reasonable, tell them what you will do for them and do it. be happy.

This is just my 2 cents worth. Good luck everybody.
