I can see how frustrating that would be. It's hard enough to just convince one's self to put in an Application with another trucking position. The way Poly does it makes the process even more difficult. So many things go through your head. You think it all out to the smallest detail. I know the feeling very well. So many ?'s and what to say and so on. Then you get the Phone Interview and you're thinking things are sounding good and then...Nothing! Left hanging and wondering all these negative things. Not cool! Anyways, don't be hard on yourself or anything you might think you've done or said. Good chance it's not any of that stuff anyway. You have a pretty good gig there where you are from the sound of it. I hope maybe one day Poly gives you a shot to do your thing over here. I really believe you would love it. However, GTI is your spot for now. It's all good. You should stay in contact with us here and with this thread. There are some good folks here at Poly just like at Gordan or any other driving place. I need to meet a few more of the folks on here in person yet, their words here have been enough to help me in many ways. Just as your words have given me some more knowledge about Gordan. I've been running out west for the last couple of weeks since Majestyk and JD haven't been out here. I stayed in the south for so long this winter and now it warms up and they let me have the West runs. Aren't they so nice?(Lol)
Try and stay in touch with us from time to time on here. Maybe hit Poly up for a job from time to time. Maybe they'll get tired of hearing from you and put you in a truck. Never know with these guys. Take care out there and I look forward to hearing from you more on here.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I have a little over 5 years with NO citations/violations/late loads/service failures/OSD issues/no failed road side inspection, absolutely nothing at all. Was with one carrier the whole time and I live in Dallas Texas. Only thing is I haven't driven in 5 months, just needed time with my family because my daughter was sick. Would I have a shot with POLY?

Well a good day. Woke up early and knocked off my first stop on the gravel roads in Tekamah, NE and then rolled on over to Ault, CO and finished off the trailer and had just enough time to make it to Johnson's Corner for some late night grilling. Got a real nice back haul call today with them needing to cover a load out of Phoenix back to Mesquite. Around 900 mile deadhead which will be my longest yet in that regard.

Wow 900 mt beats my 540 lol. Im on a run to Florida then Georgia back to Texas. Ugh I must say we need a cdl to drive what we drive yet ma and pa can drive a RV pulling a truck with a boat doing 55 with a regular old car license.
Hey I also got a call today from Crete wanting to know if I wanted to come back Told him I was still on my honeymoon here but enjoying it here. He said he understood but keep them in mind if things change. -

Well I'm not to thrilled with my backhaul. I picked up in OH today going to Lufkin, TX for Tuesday the 28th @ 1800. Two & a half days because of the holiday. It wouldn't be so bad since I'm gonna go home in my personal vehicle after I get back to GP Sunday morning, then return late Tuesday morning to go make the delivery. But the problem is I need to be back home by Thursday afternoon for a doctor's appointment. Which means I'm not going to have any miles to speak of next week. oh well, such is trucking. I'm just glad that at Poly this is the exception, not the rule. In 5 months I've grossed almost $31k & that includes a none paid week off, plus all my other home time. Yeah, I'm still happy here.
Son of a Trucker Thanks this. -
Looked at the available trip options tomorrow and think I am going to take the back roads that I haven't taken before which will give me a chance to go across Wolf Creek Pass that I have never been down before. Probably pretty tame now that it is multilane and the weather is good and I am empty but nonetheless I am looking forward to it.
jdrentzjr and The Challenger Thank this.
