I just read on TTR news that HOS regulations have been lifted for trucks servicing the relief area.

means nothing if you can't load to get there. Direct freight to the area just doesn't happen. Muldoks (multiple docks, one or two connecting loads) seem to be the rule, not the exception lately to get there too.

I volunteered to work this weekend. 56 hrs of work and 64 hrs of pay. Can't beat that when your employer gives you double-time after 48 hrs.

containers generally seem to pick up around holiday time, especially the mid-year (memorial, 4th, labor day) holidays, we get slammed with work the week before, the week of and the week after. I've logged/worked 65 hours each of the last 3 weeks over 5 days, will do it again next week and the following.

Not sure I understand you, we loaded 12 loads today to Supermerket DCs, loading 8-14 on Monday depending on how much fruit crosses from Mexico. All my receivers are open.
