If you can get on with UPS Freight then do so. After the contract that is.

Mileage when driving line-haul, hourly when not driving. If you are p/d then you are hourly

With LTL p/d normally you were in and out within 15-30 mintues depends on the customer. At bulk stops your there for while. Its not too bad waiting when your paid hourly, I never minded it but my dispatcher would get fed up

NO KIDDING! I happened to be standing next to a very good customer one afternoon, when my dispatcher asked me on the Nextel, something about WHAT IS WRONG WITH THOSE IDIOTS THAT THEY CAN'T GET YOU OUT OF THERE!
I handed the radio to "the idiot" I was standing next to, and let HIM explain a couple of things to the dispatcher. One being that he, (the idiot) was the customer, and if Mr. Dispatcher had a problem with it, perhaps he should go have a chat with the president of the company.
I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!
I got back to the terminal, and that dispatcher never said a word to me about the whole thing.:biggrin_25522:

Dude, you should see some of the UPS Parcel drivers in my area, Hard to concentrate after seeing them, especially now that they are in shorts!
