I thank everyone for contributing to this thread. Being that Jones Motor co is based in PA, how is there freight in the North East & New England in particular?

Thanks and happy Memorial Day every one. Be safe. :biggrin_25519:

I have been leased on with Jones for about 16 months now and I want to tell you about a situation I was in and what Ken Lacey and Jones motor group did to help me.

I was under a load from Texas to North Carolina with a Monday delivery, While in route on Sunday I had a pinon seal give out and It was the one from the transmission going to the driveshaft...transmission leaked out all the oil and it was done. Truck had to be towed and an estimate for the repairs was $5500--BIG EXPENSE since the month before I had put out $3500 for an oil cooler replacement and some new tires to get the truck ready for the Nationwide inspections. Well needless to say I do not have the money to repair the transmission at this time.

Jones rented a truck for me to complete the delivery And worked real hard to expedite an application approval so that I can get a different truck through Freightliner Select trucks.

I have never met Ken Lacey in person but He was informed through channels on what had happened to my truck. Once I made the delivery, at that point Jones could have canceled my lease because I had no truck to continue.

Ken Lacey and Kyle Faber made some calls and had me fill out a credit app for a freightliner select truck and send it back to them, Within a matter of hours my application was approved and I get my truck next Tuesday. So now you readers can decide for yourself as to what type of company Jones Motor Group is.

    Thank you Ken and Kyle

    Hello Driver,

For the past 3 1/2 years I have been leased to Jones Express van division with 2 1/2 of those years
on percentage. Since DAY ONE I have ALWAYS been paid 48 Hours after sending in BOL and other papers.

Jones Express is a Great company to sign on with and I'm not just talking out the side of my head.
Anytime I have had a flat tire or major break down, Jones has been there for me AND HAS NEVER
MADE ME JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO GET THE PROBLEM SOLVED.

Right now, I am running out of Los Angeles, CA to Phoenix, AZ, then to the east coast. Then I'll
find a load going in the area of Harrisonburg, VA were I mainly load back to the west coast.
By the way, Jones has some great dispatchers (BW) but you can find your own freight and receive 2%
back on that load settlement. That's the great thing I like about Jones! It gives me control over the
freight I chose (weight) and the direction I'm headed. A lot of companies say NO FORCE DISPATCH,
but we know that is not true. Don't take the load and they put you on the BLACK LIST. With Jones,
they are truly a no force dispatch company.

Jones also has flat bed and step deck under Jones Motor with many Agents across the USA. That's good for
me, with the new California EPA rules taking affect next year, I may have to buy a new truck. If so,
I can transfer to step deck division for higher revenue to offset the cost of the new truck.

If you have anymore question please don't hesitate to reply. Until then keep on trucking safely.

    Nolelover61 Thanks this.

If you chose to have the EOBR or only mandatory if you get a log violation.
I've got the Randy 760 which has the GPS mapping and it's great.

Talked to 2 different recruiters and they have between 5 -10 teamster drivers each in 2 divisions. Didn't tell me why. Figure they run the same as O/O just less $ of course. Guess it's a needle in a haystack trying to find one of these drivers.
