I still wear Levi's & Boots. An Eaton, Fuller 15 speed does it for me.

No you can still shift them with one simple moving the stick.. no clutch.. and if you are a double clutcher you still have to double clutch... best tranmission to me is still eatons.. but I don't really care what it has in it..
Gear grinders really.. It isn't that hard.. -
The eaton road ranger trans are the same as 30 years ago. I can no clutch shift a 1960 as well as a 2010. It is only a mechanical item, no degree needed to figure them out. The 10spd and 13spd are dumb. If you wanted the simplest trans go with a 9spd. Only a range shifter, and no coming from far right rear to far left rear. The 10spd does not give you any advantages over a 9spd. The only 10spd I would just barely approve of is the "super 10spd" aka 10B. It is a nice dummy trans. Just a 5spd on the stick, and you can split each gear if you want. The 13spd has range select and splitter. The problem with the 13 is it does not have a low gear. The 18spd (18B) has it all. The lowest low gear (14.40) with a .73 overdrive, there is no doubt it has it all. The 13spd has the same parts, just made wrong. Having a lower gear only increases the life of all components on a truck. You can also run the 18spd as a 9spd if you are running light, less shifting.

Some day when you learn how thing work, you will see the lower start gear is the best choice. There is no more shifting in an 18spd than a 9spd if you dont need the splits.
