The whole crowd basically empties into the streets afterwards. Daytona at least has massive parking but Indy is literally surrounded by streets. Went to 2 F1 races there. Cool track to go to. Montreal the easiest track to go to bc the subway goes in/out of the place. Security as well but when it lets out its a mad housegoblue Thanks this.

I-80 service plaza near Toledo. Rolling towards Domtar in Rothschild, WI with a load due Tuesday morn. We got a good lesson about not setting brakes on CAT scales. Steers came out 13400 and my trainer was like WTF? I mentioned I read somewhere about not setting brakes on the scales with a reefer, and he said never heard of that. Tried it and it all came out ok.
goblue Thanks this. -
What does setting the brakes do? I have never set the brakes on DOT scales.
-
It probably has something to do with balance, if u set brakes that force u have on the scale might bounce around a little..prolly why u see steers going high. If u read the sign on cat scales it says not to set brakes. It was hard for me at first..thought the truck mite roll off lol..

Gotta love those Maine 'camps'. For others in the rest of the country, it's either what some call a summer cottage, or small summer home, something along those lines. We had one as a kid in the Berkshires, but called it the cottage.

At the Kwik Trip in Menomonie, WI. I came here last night after I got released from Walmart. Of course nobody this knew this morning I was available. I think my status was updated that I was back under Roehl but there was no time. I guess I should have explained in more detail. Then again I told night dispatch I would be available at 0730. It probably doesn't matter anyway there probably isn't any freight available. On,the Walmart dedicated thing. I was told this a new thing they were trying out. Personally I liked it. They kept me moving. I ran about 1,200 miles in the 3 days I was with them. The only time Roehl heard from me was when I started my day, my DVIR and when I needed fuel. My dispatchers were always nice and was treated good everywhere I went. I know, I know it was because I had a Walmart trailer. I actually got to be a real Driver and had to really trip plan. So that was nice. If you wanted to stop somewhere and eat enroute that was ok to. You just factored it in to your travel time when you gave them an eta. I really liked the fact I got to use the Walmart lanes at the gate. Lol! Roehl should get in on this. If they offered it in my,area I would actually consider doing it. And look at that I got a pre plan. A short relay from Marshfield to Wasau with an extra stop in Wisconsin Rapids for Home Depot. Well it keeps me busy. I am one of those Drivers that doesn't like to sit if I got hours to run.

Think I've had enough, time to start looking again.

Well, I got one today. Bambiburger in Lebanon MO, about mm 127. Sucker ran out of median right into side of me, heavy traffic around 0930. A bit late for deer, but oh well, splattered him good, if I had hit the brakes probably would have done a lot more damage, grill, lights, radiator, I just kept in it, didn't swerve, let him hit me, pulled over checked for major damage, got off next exit, did better inspection and called it in.
