A few months ago my regular Physician referred me to a Cardiologist. I have a a slight thickening of the Heart, Left Ventricular Hypertrophy. She told me no restrictions. But, added an additional HBP med. So now I take 3 diff. pills once a day. I have to renew DOT Physical in August, I dont think it will be an issue, but the DOT has their own view on Hypertension. Has anyone had a similar issue ??

I take 3 BP meds a day as well. Add in my diabetes meds, and I'm in the same boat. While I don't have the exact same heart condition, I do have an extensive cardiac history. I passed my physical no problem. Shouldn't (operative word) be an issue with you.

As long as your BP is below 140/90 regardless of your meds you will automatically qualify for a medical card.
