transmission rebuilt

Sounds like the linkage needs adjusted for freeplay. If the clutch is self adjusting, it should come into adjustment pretty quickly, you can help it along by depressing the clutch, engine off, and have someone crawl underneath and tap on the clutch wear indicator tab in the pressure plate.

Not to hijack the thread but I have a similar question. I just recently bought a truck with a reman eaton 13 speed... According to the receipts it has 75,000 on it. I pulled my first load today and the temp just slowly kept rising on the highway. By 120 miles I pulled a long hard hill and it was almost 300 degrees so I decided to stop and crawl under and as hot as the tranny felt I'm pretty sure the gauge is reading accurately. Let it cool down and checked the fluid... It was about a quart overfull so I let some run out. It looks like it pushed some fluid out of the rear of the transmission. Do u no what this possibly could be?? Too tight of tolerances?? Blocked vent?? It's in an 88 Pete so I'm pretty sure there are no cooler lines but plz tell me if I'm wrong. All opinions are welcome as I had to return a loaded trailer on my first load and once again the truck is sitting and making no money besides the fact that this looks horrible on me to the company I'm running for and they r extremely nice people and I just felt horrible dropping a loaded trailer in their lot to be their problem. The trans also has a PTO on it if that matters at all. Thanks in advance for all your opinions!!

 

It would adjust itself rather quick just pumping clutch the mechanic should have done it him self, from the inspection plate can you see if the throw out bearing is pressing all the way back to the clutch brake?

 

I can't see why tech would pull clutch but it sounds like clutch was not caged correctly or the caging bolts are still in, look threw the inspection plate on bottom of trans it should have 2 13mm bolts holding it on see if you can see brass colored 16mm bolts in the face of the clutch

 

Looks like the clutch brake is to tight , roll the truck really slow and push the clutch pedal to flour se if it will brake the truck or if it will roll
