I got a driving on shoulder ticket while heading into the Port of Oakland CA last year and I beat that ticket. I have the attorney's card if you want to PM me. When I showed up to traffic court with my attorney the CHP officer did not even take the stand. He dismissed the ticket "in the pursuit of justice," was what he (CHP officer) marked down for the reason the tickett was dismissed.
What I liked too was that when you have console you get bumped to the head of the list at the court hearings. There were about 35 other cases that day and I did not want to sit and wait for my turn to eventually come up.
Any Recommended California CDL Attorneys?

I was in riverside county, heading north on 15 not far from 1-10. I was going to the Ontario truck stop. The fine or the one point I'm not concerned with but keeping it off my CSA is my concern.

There are lots attorneys in the SoCal area. I'd just call a couple and go with the one with the best rate or the one you feel most comfortable with. All attorneys do pretty much the same thing. They'll appear for you and plead your case. They also will kinda fudge the system and try to drag it out so the cop doesn't show.
I understand what you're looking for. You'd like the ticket reduced to a non moving violation. You're looking to get a ticket but no points regardless of the fine. It's very possible to achieve this. Yes Ca is money hungry but my buddy just got hit with a 10mph over ticket and had it reduced to a non point violation with a higher fine.
Just know that it will cost about 600 for the attorney and then the fine do its around 1k to get no points -
I used Paul E. Antill Law Offices for a ticket(not the same ticket) in Ontario with success. Cost $500 for the lawyer. I don't know why everyone thinks it so hard to fight things in CA. Like Trucker Bug said, they're more than happy to reduce it to a non-moving violation that they can charge you even more for. I had mine dismissed completely. It's no different than fighting a ticket in any other state.
Did you get an inspection? -
Thanks for the reply. I sent out a few e-mails already and should be hearing something in a couple of day's.

I went with Paul Antill. The price is $500 which is reasonable. He has mixed feedback but i guess you can't win them all!! Just hope i don't get burnt.
