Truck driver hit, killed while walking on frontage road

Sad situation prayers go out to this drivers family as they go through this hard time. The kid that struck this trucker needs to get 25 to life for motor vehicle homicide!

 

Send him to the wolves right? Even tho he clearly admits his mistake. It's tragic, but accidents happen. I'll be sure to bet if the trucker hit the kid you would be crying "just An accident"

Why does the time of day mean anything? No way of knowing how long he had been up

 

He is responsible for the death of another human being, you think he should just walk away as though nothing happened? The fact that the victim is a trucker is irrelevant.

 

I think what the guy meant is.. Why would you say 25 to life.... The guy made a mistake, admitted it and he should be punished... But come on RickG said 25 to life.. That is for MURDERS that intend to kill someone because they are evil.. This guy fell asleep as he says and killed someone while driving.. It's a little harsh to say he should get full life imprisonment for something like this... People can fall asleep at anytime of the day, you don't know if he sleep at all, maybe he worked hard labour all day and what really tired coming home.. We don't know....

I feel for the dead driver tho.... His family will have some rough times ahead..

Please point out where i said that he should walk away..... It's extremely harsh to treat the guy like a cold blooded criminal considering it was an accident. People on this forum are so quick to jump the gun. Absolutely amazing
