In Appleton for the night. Delivery tomorrow morning. Saw a flatbedder who had been sitting for 4 days with no load. Freight must be crazy slow for some this weekend. Waiting for the company car so we can head down to BWW's and somebody has been gone for 2 and a half hours? Really?

Delivered at graphic then parked in lot next door, as soon as set the brakes a preplan pops up. Pick up here, going to Elk Grove, got loaded and said screw it, will just stay here and leave early morning, 1000 delivery, 330 miles.

Don't know if anyone caught the news about the 3 feet of snow in upper New York near the Vermont line. Guess one of the mountains caught it good. Had to shut roads down. Glad I'm down here south of Memphis at 83 degrees.

ROEHL drivers....beware, Unless you have a truck-specific GPS, be ready to be routed onto streets where only cars should go and be ready for the Bristol, New Jersey bridge; with its 15-ton weight limit sign [ while your tractor and trailer weigh 25-tons empty ] and its usual Police car waiting patiently on the New Jersey side to ticket you. In addition to running you ragged with 14-hour work days and 11-plus hours of driving time expected [ contrary to DOT requirements ] your dispatcher will be happy to tell you that all of the answers are in your "Driver's Reference Guide" and that it's your responsibility to ALWAYS check your fuel and routing info....sounds nice, but in reality, you'll never have enough time, your paycheck will suffer involuntary and unannounced withdrawals for the "opt-out" IRA, and well....it may be that a sale to Schneider by Rick Roehl is simply waiting for his father to die.....Apparently, Schneider's money recently paid for the construction of their terminal in Nina, Wisconsin. Don't abuse yourself this way. You deserve better, believe me.

First off, the routing has always had hiccups thin itself. You do have time to check your route on an atlas, NOT a GPS. Even truck specific gps's will send you down roads you have no business being on.

Second, if your tractor trailer was 50,000lbs empty, you are doing something very wrong! Your combo should weigh no more than 35,000 lbs empty.

Third, you can't run past 11 hours of driving on e logs, not at roehl. You can but will get caught. This is OTR trucking, working at roehl I would pull 18-20 hour days, it's part of the job. If you can't hack it, find another career choice

The terminal is Wisconsin you speak of has been built for over a year, not real "recent" there buddy.

May want to check your facts before coming here and posting nonsense. Also, no, I do not work for roehl anymore, but It pisses me off when people post false info such as this with your 1 post, and joined the forum a few minutes ago.

When I was a lease op there I sat in Denver for 4 days once. Hang in there freight can get slow sometimes especially around holidays. It's part of the business.
