Yeah but most people around the immediate area are farmers and they look at the price instead of the end product. If i can get in with a few home builders which is in the works then we will be golden. But its all in time that is all.

The good thing about having a CDL, is that if for some reason things don't work out, you can ALWAYS get a job driving again. You will always have work, and that helps a man provide for his family. I'm sure things will get going for ya, our weather around here sure has not been good for construction.

Hey MJ, I'm going to start cutting wood for a hobby (and to burn @ camp), splitting it all by hand and felling trees at my friends property...

my dad used to cut for the power company and told me to get a Stihl saw, what brand do you use?

I originally wanted a jonsered saw.

Hey classix, being your from the general area, what do you know about Atlas trucking? we load right beside their terminal/processing facility outside detroit and they seem to run alot of decent equipment...all o/o's I believe....just curious.

Aiwiron, is that a pork rump?

    I use Stihl saws.

My big saw is on 036 pro and my small saw is an 025 that I got with points out of a book when I used to be a GM parts manager. 025 is not a pro saw but its cut alot of wood and has not let me down. I bought my 036 in 2000 and I heat my house exclusively with wood so its cut alot of cords.

When I bought the 036 it was $499 the comporable saw now is $649. Kind of crazy.

I love being out in the woods cutting up treesbut my favorite part is running the splitter. My grandpa built it alot of years ago and gave it to me when he couldn't cut wood anymore. I added a hydraulic log lift to it a few years ago that has sure saved my back. You couldn't buy one in any store as nice as this and its probably one of my most prized possessions.

Very long day I had today. In the process of buying a septic and portable toilet business and was training a new driver today and he lost control. He got off the edge of the road which caused a nice surge in the tank and he over corrected. We ended up on with the passenger side off the ground and slammed down and spun around 180 degrees. Lost 1,500 gallons of septic in the ditch. Hazmat cleanup is looking at $30,000. Oh what a day.
