This is typical of the ###### mom and pop TCs. They work on such a sketchy platform that even the slightest company #### up will immediately trickle down to the lowly driver. You husband should count himself lucky that he at least got home. There have been instances where small mom and pops literally shut down out of nowhere and left their drivers not only without pay but also stranded thousands of miles from home. Say what you want about the megas, but at least their trucks keep moving and they pay you (albeit barely) every week...

Somehow there has got to be more to this story. Maybe her husband can shed some light on the truth. 7 weeks with no pay? One week would have been too long. Too many holes, and how is she to know the whole story. From him. So what is the whole story?
-
I was riding with him the whole time so i know the whole story we just dont have the finances to do anything. He is in orentiation with SRT right now.
-
The main thing that matters right now is that we have switched companys and is trying to do better.
-

Oh my bad thought we were gonna talk about 10 from six
one of the greatest albums released.
Man Bad Company was one heck of a band. -
We got a few cash advances and the rest i dont know what the boss did with it, all i know is that he took money out for fuel and were not owner operaters so there was no reason for him to take the money out for fuel, he also took money out for escrow but that was not very much somehow are cash advances came up to more than what we got we only got like 250 a week and they ended up to be 600 there is definitlity something wrong i kept up with them. The baby was at my moms and the reason being is because i lost my 15 year old brother there only son last year NOV 20 and she was born NOV 21 i stayed with her for 5 months and the doctor said that she would help the family get onver his loss.
That is where my lil one was. My brother died a tragic death im still not over it i cant get over it. -
I have to have some time to deal with my brothers death to it hit all of us hard.
-
Sorry to hear of the loss of your brother.
Not getting paid for 7 weeks but still getting cash advances? That sounds like pay to me.
there have been many posts from drivers (or spouses) complain about minimal settlement checks but they fail to take into account the advance they received earlier in the week. I realize that your husband has moved to another company but both of you should read the contract and ask questions about anything you don't understand before you start driving the truck. Once you receive your first comple of settlements, read through and find out if 1) the pay rate/cpm is what was specified, 2) advances, if any, are properly documented, 3) withholding for physical, drug test, escrow are specified on his contract and are at the amount specified 4) same thing about fuel- seems funny a company driver would be paying for fuel.
Read through another post here about a company that charged drivers $1.15/mile for out-of-route; hopefully your hubby wasn't doing that.
