I now realize all your posts and they have explained themselves after reading the first 2 sentenses. Your issue is your attitude. You WERE NOT guaranteed ANY job after TRUCKING SCHOOL! In Omaha there are 2 jtl and cddt...neither of which guarantee you a job at the end. SCC in Lincoln does not guarantee you a job either. I know because I have talked to all these schools. None of them guarantee you a job. So whining and complaining about that will do you no good. You received your training that's what you paid for not a job.

Second of all do you have any idea how much of a risk you are to a trucking company when you are young and have little experience? I'm still young and still learning always will be the day you quit learning is the day you need to get out of a truck. So getting on with a crappy mega carrier that treats you like dirt runs your butt off and everything but gets you the experience to move on is something you should be grateful for. Because they gave you a chance when they didn't have too

Finally you live in NEBRASKA that's not how we do things here. We don't whine cry piss and moan when #### hits the fan we pick ourselves up dust our selves off and get back in the saddle...(that DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!) I'm going to go the route everybody else has gone and say pick yourself up get yourself a job and adjust your attitude. It could be worse you could be 6ft under. Winners never quit and quitters never win. So don't quit and don't be a loser either don't whine about your best that makes you a loser be a winner...go home and #### the prom king (since you're all woman). That was quoted from the rock staring Sean Connery (edited by me.)

Good day and stay out of the rain.

And fyi this forum helps people every day weather its what you want to hear or not.

The volcano already blew it's top, not likely to happen again in my lifetime.
The .45 ought to be big enough for the mouse but we have bears and coyotes and mountain lions up here so I keep the trusty .30-30 handy as well.:biggrin_25525:

Hey, KateL, if trucking is so bad, and so many drivers on here telling you not to do it, why don't they follow their own advice? Someone on this forum recently, in a similar situation as yours, was hired with Watkins & Shepard which has many dedicated accounts. You need to put that tanker/hazmat to work for you as soon as possible though. Most of the drivers making starvation wages are hauling general freight with some dry van or reefer company & with proper planning & motivation can easily double their wages.

I think most people understand that.

I don't know how much money you think you're going to make starting out with what you call a looser company but you're probably better off with the 2 minimum wage jobs.

Sure, if you stick it out long enough you could make some decent money in the future but I don't see you lasting long. The hours are long, you won't see your kids for very long periods of time and with your immature victim attitude I don't see it working.

    I could be wrong though.
