I'm looking into driving a truck and trying to figure out which companies are worth trying for? I have only found 2 companies willing to take my recent driving experience into account (2 years with Halliburton). One is Western Express.....and the other....which im now second guessing (thanks yall) is/was Hendrickson (had/have an interview thing tomorrow). Looking for ANY suggestions the only suggestion i have had is from my uncle and he runs with Prime.

Look at Schneider tanker division. With tanker, you will have more consistant pay week to week instead of the wild fluctuations.

Prime tanker or flatbed would be OK.

Halliburton was a good company but I want to go over the road, where as halliburton i only drive when we are moving jobsites. I have found that alot of companies don't accept the driving experience as true OTR. I thought it would be a bit easier with haz mat and tanker AND two years driving to find a good reputable company....

Ok well, if you just HAVE to go OTR ,I'd call someone like Schneider Tanker, but I got to be honest,I wouldn't leave Haliburton for that. Although Dick Cheney is on my long list of dislikes,my $ would be his direction instead of an OTR company.
Regardless,I promise I will never say "I told ya so":biggrin_25513:

When you say only two companies will consider your experience are you talking about only large carriers? I'd personally try to find a smaller outfit near to your location to go OTR with as there's probably a better chance they'll consider that experience. No reason to downgrade yourself to a megacarrier in my opinion.

FFE, Dallas will take you. Not recommending them, just letting you know of them.
