KateL you are too funny! BTW, what is wrong with your package? Maybe you should post your picture, maybe your package isn't the right size.

I felt sorry for you until I read this tripe... PART TIME THIS... SPOILED THAT... I don't like the idea of.. and 60k being rich.. when you work 3500 hours a year.. your statements are very ignorant. You cry to much don't try hard enough... Go get off your rear end and find a job. You are not going to find one here and with you attitude the advice you are going to get isn't worth the time it takes to type it.. but the real issue is this... Is this industry right for you.. from your post I would say no... You cry to much.. You will be eatin alive at the truckstops by predators that feed on weak mind and mean you nothing but ill will..

You want honesty that is it.. You like to tear other people down to build yourself up.. This industry doesn't do well with attitudes like that.. The total package that company didn't like is this.. You are female with a underage child at home (is it fair no but that is it) and your attitude if anything like you have been showing here is very cancerous in a group of new hires.. You need to learn how to make yourself an asset not a liability..

Kate, what do you want from us from your post ? I'm confused. Your a grown woman. You put yourself in this position.

With this CDL, you have a chance to change your destiny. Embrace it with open arms.

Stop whining! Your friend died, not you. You're healthy and have a CDL. So you have to start at the bottom at a 'loser company' and we're supposed to feel for you? Where did you expect to start, at the top? And homeless as well? Consider yourself lucky that you're not on the hook for a lease or a mortgage. Besides, the 'loser company' will give you a home. It's called a truck.

WorldofTransportation: 100% Agreed. I've interviewed, hired, trained, and managed dozens of people for a variety of businesses over the last 20+ years so I can tell you from experience that after reading her posts in this thread it's no mystery to me why an employer wouldn't want to hire her. Not only do I get the same unfavorable impression as you and others but she also strikes me as a discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen at the first opportunity she had. No thanks - I would pass. There are way too many better candidates out there w/o all that baggage.

Yep got that impression aswell... I wish her nothing but the best but I can see a huge legal/harassment suit in some companies future... She may really just need a shot.. but she will never get it unless she changes her outlook.. I know I have hired people and fired people... and her attitude is a deal breaker.. I would pass on her everytime and I would want to give her a shot with her background but if I am running a business/hiring for one.. I would have to make the best choice for my job and she doesn't seem to fit that bill

I feel sorry for the brother being sponged off and the daughter with this shining example of a role model.
Put the dogs up for adoption, and go work. What a pathetic whiner and loser, guess what? not all of us get handed everything we want for free, the ones who don't have to work for it. And finishing a "truck driving school" In no way guarantees you are competent to drive a truck, just that you were able to pass a few standardized tests.
Also the "ugly House" comment shows your greedy, spiteful, and entitled mindset clear as day.
I would be greatly pleased to own such a nice house in a beautiful location like that.

Keeps the riff-raff away, I like my neighbors though even if they hang out in my backyard from time to time.
