Lol sounds like my husband, just a country boy! One of the main reasons he is gonna go with transam is the equipment the trucks comes with. We don't him wasting money on truckstops.

The George Foreman is easy to clean ....after using sprinkle it with salt, lay a couple of damp paper towels on top of salt, turn it back on for a few minutes to steam, turn off, let cool, then wipe it clean. My husband does about a 50/50 on cooking for himself and eating out...which I think is a good thing. After driving all day or night they need to get out of the truck and have a nice sit down meal every once in awhile. After being on the road for a bit he will find some favorite places to eat that have available parking but are not truck stops. He will also have points on his rewards cards from the truck stops. I usually cook things for him to take with him that will last several days when he first goes back out after home time, that helps save money...and you know that he has several good meals available to him.Panhandle flash and Freckles Thank this.

That is our plan as well. I'm gonna try to make some home cooking he can heat up for a few days but like you said sometimes they need a place just to sit and relax. Btw thanks for the George foreman tip!HometimeQueen Thanks this.

So true .....and husband is picky about where he eats. He left a truck stop today because the windows had ten years worth of crud on them, he figured the kitchen wasn't much better. It was a little old place in the backwoods and thankfully he didn't have far to go til he found something better. He's actually a pretty good cook but has been out awhile and running low on supplies. He throws a little of this together with a little of that and usually comes up with something surprisingly good. My kids love it when Dad cooks.

The trucks are equipped the same company or lease. If he has been offered a job he is basically allready hired as long as the drug test is clean, and I know it will be. Thats another thing about Trans Am if they ask you to come to orientation as long as you can pass the drug test you are hired. They allready have the background check done. I had O.T.R. experience when they hired me, so I didnt have to take a driving test or anything. Just sat through 2 1/2 days of orientation. Went to the hospital for food poisening and came back on monday finished orientation, and got a truck and down the road I went.Freckles Thanks this.

Husband did 6 swaps between last Saturday and Thursday. The last one was with someone coming off of home time and the swap was so that husband could get home for his time off. As I have said before, some of the swaps are for the driver's benefit and they are greatly appreciated. My husband made it home safe and sound yesterday morning. Unfortunately the load the other driver swapped my husband for was delivering in Oklahoma yesterday .... Driver, if you are on this forum, please know that you had many prayers for your safety and well being yesterday.

hey all hows the new t680???
im told they have a tv mount how true is that???? -
Also dose the passenger seat swivel?????
any INFO will be a great help.... -
We do indeed have a flatscreen mount already installed in the 680 that will hold up to a 23" flatscreen. It is, however, a pain in the butt to install said flatscreen. But the mount is there. Passenger seat does not seivel. We also dont have the swing out table.I kinda like the sleeper curtains. Rather than zip down the middle like the 700, they meet together in the middle along a slide track and there is a magnet strip down the seam of the curtains that holds them together. Im sure some guys will hate it, but I think its spiffy.
Ive been aggravated with the planners lately. Every load Ive been getting was dispatched at a point that I could not get it by drop dead or pickup time. And the load Im on now, they never gave me the order number or said anything about having to go and get bulkheads first. They just said "call the broker" and the broker couldnt do anything without the order numver either! I waited so long in the MillerCoors drveway that I eventually crawled off to a truckstop. And THEN the gave me the irder numver on my satellite. I was livid. Plus theyve either been running me ragged or waking me up n the middle of my 10 after I gnallt get t sleep and then I cant get back t sleep. I have been sick for almost 2 weeks now and cant take much more. I need a day or so to recuperate. As is, I am currently sitting in a truckstop in Colby, KS with a fever.
