    Hey everyone.,
Recently I moved from EU to US and all my CDL expierience went to the bottom so I had to start all over by going in school for a CDL A.
After I finish scholl and got my lisence I am trying to find a company to work with. My only preference is that I want to work with a Automatic transmition Truck due to a past surgery in my elbow from a accident.
Now after all this time looking for work I have been contacted by Swift transportation and Melton Trucks for a Orientation.
Can anyone please tell me if by any chance they have trucks with "Ishift" or similar Automatic Transmitions...

    thank you all in advance

Swift pretty much does not have Autos.
They had a few but willing to bet it was less than 1 percent.
I had one for a while, when I was with them....some of the Mechanics that worked on it said they never even seen one.
Bet they got rid of most of them anyway.

Maverick Transportation and Howard Transportation have automatic transmissions.

Check with TransAm, Hogan, Comcar, about the automatic transmissions.

Are you sure you can deal with flatbed, with the bad shoulder? Melton, Maverick, Howard are flatbed, and all excellent companies though.

In trucking don't you have to load trucks, hook up the trailers, climb ladders and other shoulder use?

Most Dry Van/Reefer Companies you won't do much unloading.

Thank you all for the information ., I just want to clarify that the problem I have is to my wrist actually not in the shoulder.
My wrist doesn't bend anymore the way it should.. so...trying to put the gear in 2,4,7,9..its get's really bad .
Last time I try that was in CDL school in April of this year and I end up doing a triple (3x)cortisone injection in my elbow and wrist.
When i went for the test with Automatic transmition was no problem at all., and I got the lisence.
I think the problem called "Scapholunate Dissociation" .Doctors insist to do a surgery but then I will loose the bend inside move of my wrist..forever.:biggrin_25523:

Maverick has TCD (Temperature Controlled Division aka "Reefer"). You still have to be able to pass the physical exams that ALL drivers must go thru at orientation.

Most companies will make you pass a MUCH more strenuous physical exam. Strength and agility tests for starters, before the real fun begins.
