I've been with Koch 2.5 years and been pretty happy here. Transferred to Best Buy out of Ardmore Ok for about 6mo and it was ok but a lot less money than otr. You have good weeks and bad weeks but for the most part I have done good here. Make about $50,000 a year and depends on your dispatcher about your home time really. They say 2 to 3 weeks kinda depends on where you live. They fly you to orientation put you up in a nice hotel feed you pretty good. I was not lied to by recruiters run mainly Midwest and out east. If you have hazmat you make an extra .01 per mile. Apu on trucks. Fuel bounes is pretty easy to get. They treat you pretty good here and that's really the most important thing to me.

i drove for koch for about 6 months and most guys seemed happy there. i got the worst dispatcher in the company. he wrote me up one time for not being able to deliver in milwaukee at 8am and pick up in green bay at 8am. i called chris and he looked into it and he said he had no idea what john was thinking. brian was my recruiter and him like most of the other recruiters was honest and helpful. but i got called in for a meeting with john my dispatcher and jenny and i told them what brian told me when i hired in and jenny called brian and he confirmed that he did agree to what i said. then jenny hung up the phone and said she didnt agree with any of it and was going to change everything. like i said most of the guys i met there seemed happy but my experience was not so good.

Koch isn't a bad company to work for ... It's like any other company a lot of it depends on your dispatcher. I get what I want for miles and get home when I feel like it. I choose to stay out 6-8 weeks at a time ... and only take 3-4 days off at a time ... my choice. If I have a problem I call it in and we ... me and the dispatcher ... figure out what can be done. Sometimes there are mess ups on their end. But if you call them and tell them about the problem they fix it ... they don't like it when there is no communication from the driver.... they are forced dispatch ... but they do not force to NYC. They are switching to scanning in the trips over trip pak. They have new trucks that they are cycling thru to the drivers that have been there for awhile. They do have elog and seeing as elog is supposed to be mandatory in the next few years ... you just got to get used to it... go with the flow or get washed over ...

I drive truck 993110 been here for over 2 years ... I came to Koch because of the lease program ... has it all been a bed of roses ... I guess you can say yes it has ... just watch out for the thorns. It's like anything else it'll work for some and not others ... Just no nasty attitudes keep your temper in check relax and it'll all work out.

any questions please mail me on here thx

I tried to Google satellite search their terminal but couldn't. Their address in Golden Valley, MN shows a small building with parking for cars only. Found their DOT score on vehicle maintenance a little above what I would like... 49.3... and unsafe driving was 67.1... :biggrin_2554: What is the speed of their trucks? And do they haul Hazmat?

    Jrdude5 Thanks this.
