My company truck cruise control is set at 62. If I manually hold the petal to the floor 65.
-
yea I didn't want to give it up my self. but I couldn't find a driver to drive for me when I had to go over seas with the army. But i mostly drove at 65 anyways but that other 3 mph helped.
i know there are a few KW dealers will turn the trucks up on lease trucks and they don't tell trans am. BUT MAKE SURE YOU TURN IT BACK DOWN IF YOU LEAVE EARLY... -
I had a KW mistakenly turn my 700 up to 68 and I loved it. I was sad when I got my 680 and could only go 65. Word on the wind is that its near impossible to find someone on the road who can turn up one of our 680s. Ive heard something like the ECM wont take the modification? Not sure.:\ Pretty sure the only place I would be able to turn it u is at a KW.
kirk Thanks this. -
just have to find those few KWs that wont tell trans am lol. but you can get FIRED on the spot if trans am finds out.
I go next week to pick up my truck. sucks I have to sit there for 3 day. even tho I was already driven for them before. -
Ok Im kinda concerned. I did a swap in Indianapolis on Wednesday, and got an empty trailer. I was DH to the Chicago Land area to drop and hook at the shipper. The load was ready when I arrived. I went to sign the BOL and it was a 2 stop load. No one ever bothered to tell me it was a 2 stop load. I messaged my DM and she said " Im not showing its a 2 stop load hang tight, and let me find out whats up." After about 5 minutes I was sent new load info with the 2nd stop on there. Question is- why did no one supposedly know it had 2 stops? I feel I should have been told before that fact not after Im allready at the shipper. Question #2- My delivery appt time was scheduled for Sunday night at 22:45 in Oklahoma City. I loaded on Wednesday afternoon in Chicago Land, and my appt time is not till late Sunday night 4 days later, whats up with that? I asked my DM and she said I will check to see if the appt time can be moved up. About 5 minutes later she messaged me back and said sorry the appt cant be changed. Is this a sample of what the future is going to be like, or is this just one of those things that happens in the trucking business?

kirk, who is your driver manager? Could you take it to the yard in Olathe for a swap since it has so much time on it?
-
Sometimes if you have a good DM that is reasonable, and you squeal a little bit, you can get it taken off of you. It is less than a 800 mile run in 3 days, right? Taking it to the yard would be reasonable.
kirk Thanks this. -
They did the same stuff when I was there, and I left 2 years ago.
123456 Thanks this. -
it seems sometimes stuff happens
the longer I am here the better I get at spotting stupid trips to refuse
sometimes I just readjust the deliveries myself
sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
I try to stay in charge of my own destiny
but like today I just accept anything to get out of northern njkirk and HometimeQueen Thank this.
