It happens to the best of us.I believe it's St (Swift Transport) OC (Ocala) FL (Florida). I was just there a couple of days ago. Since I'm Midwest Regional, I guess central Florida passes for the Midwest.

I was real interested in PSUMoose's truck but haven't been able to raise him. I hope all is well and good.

Yeah, I checked my load book; stocfl is home for me. Most loc codes are formatted company then city: Kfsto is Kraft foods Stockton, kfaur is Kraft foods aurora, krbeth is Kraft refrigerated Bethlehem, etc. the Stockton yard is probably cflst, but I might be wrong.
and yes, the Florida peninsula is Midwest, at least culturally lol. I always say we're geographically south, culturally north. -
Some people are so rude and selfish!! GRRR!
Had a 'fun' time on Saturday when picking up our load... Refer set at 35, BOL said 36 and the refer temp was 74! To top it off, there was YOGURT on board! Sigh... So of course no-one but the cleaning crew works on Saturday except for the yard jockey. After a bunch of calling and such the jockey got to pull off the pallets of yogurt since that was the only temperature sensitive stuff on board. We then get to take the trailer to a refer repair place and get the cellinoid replaced the the condenser was bad as well, but we were to run with the load and drop the MT at Conley and pick up another MT for our reload... Fine, we'll do that... Get to Conley and there are 8... Count them 8 MT trailers ALL with tractors parked under them!! Sign at the gate says to drop all MT's... Now granted 7of them did have presets, but one didn't and no-one was even in the tractor. So now we are late to reload on our dedicated loop, where the timing is such that if one load is late it effects everyone else. OH but the icing on the cake was as we were leaving, a guy was just pulling in... Asked him, is that an MT? His reply... Yes... I then ask do you have a preset?? He says... No... I say, "We need your trailer!" He promptly replies... I'm not giving up my trailer!! OMG... Dude, you are suppose to drop it anyway, you don't have a load to pick up... He was the north bound end of a south bound horse!! Thankfully George (the night time DM in Conley) called a drop location and verified there was an MT there and it was only 3 miles from where we had to be for our reload...
Sorry... Had to vent... I SO wanted to make a scene there at the terminal... But I was good, but let me tell you, I remember his truck number, and he best not need anything from us in the future!! If you doubt it, read my tag line!! BortaS bIr jablu'DI', reH QaQqu' nay' (Revenge is a dish best served cold!)Arkansas Frost, Stroker73 and Doulos Thank this. -
You're right... (Hand to forehead)...
-
Lady K, that's just sorry!! Probably the same guy not filling up reefers or washing them out!! Too bad it was the weekend. Otherwise you could have been blocking him from leaving while calling your DM to yank him off that trailer. People should know better...
-
That was just this morning... The weekend was back in CA... We didn't have time to play with challenging him and calling the DM etc... And it would have gotten loud and down right ugly if we had confronted him ESPECIALLY how I was feeling!! Frustrates me because I'm usually pretty calm and easy going. Really don't like the angry, tear his throat out type of feeling... We are better now... Trailer loaded and we are rolling... What we need right now are some showers!! Didn't have time to squeeze any in on the trip out what with the 01 fiasco... That will definitely improve the mood (and the general odor of life!!)
Arkansas Frost Thanks this. -
If you need an mt and they are all on tractors ask the shop for help. Last time I was there I got a stack of keys and ended up moving someone's truck out from under an mt (they weren't in it). I always keep my mt, but if someone needs it more than I do I always give it up. Rules are rules.
Doulos, Lady K and Arkansas Frost Thank this. -
We always kept our empty when we were in slc OTHERWISE when we needed a trailer to go pick up a load we had to DH all over the place on our dime looking for a new trailer.

Oh man, videos, videos, did anyone say videos? Glad thats over. Now just waiting to see if my trainer gets ahold of me today.
To you trainers, is it ok to start on the workbook now? Or should I wait until I get on the truck.
