I was wondering if anyone has any info on this terminal, or on Con-way Freight (LTL) in general.

How is the pay for LTL compared to others or OTR?

I can see from the crickets that no body knows anything about this place.

I start there on monday so I will post when I can about what I discover.

second day on the job and I am pulling a set to Academy Sports DC. Looks like I will be going straight to a daytime P&D position as we are expanding and they need the help moving freight even though I am two days into the two week training.

Congrats! Nice truck too. Used to live in Hawkinsville a few years back, pretty country down there. Sounds like you made a good move. Be sure to go to Lane's Packing House in Fort Valley for some Peach soft serve....yum.

I've worked at Freight for about 10 years now. It's hard to say how a specific terminal will be because they are all so different. It has ups and downs but overall it's a very good driving job. It works to your advantage that they are expanding - less time on the bottom and the more people below you when you're new the better. You'll hear all the whining and complaining and even though a lot of is is legit, there's a reason about half of the companies drivers have been here 10+ years. Any questions let me know and I'll do the best I can to answer them.

Are you on Big Rig Talk on Facebook? Pic looks familiar to one recently posted on there.

Well so far so good. The two week "training period" is over and I start hourly on city P&D tomorrow morning. We deliver several sets to different distribution centers every day and I have been running a route in Macon GA with a 53 ft. Freight is picking up fast in this area and we have rented several trailers to cover the increased need since we can't get ahold of Conway trailers fast enough.
