AMHERST -- Police have temporarily closed Route 2 eastbound in Amherst in order to remove a tipped over semi-truck.
Police say they expect the highway to remain shut down for about an hour between Baumhart and Oak Point Road.

The truck rolled over after witnesses say it was cut off by a car.

Police say the car cut in front of the truck at Route 2 and Baumhart Road forcing the truck driver to take corrective action. The truck then hit a patch of icy slush, slid into the median and tipped over onto its side.

    No one was hurt.

Two miles away another accident sent a car into a guardrail. No one was hurt.

    The crashes remain under investigation.

  3. Its this kind of info that get the best of my insecurities up and running.
That truck looks familiar to me in the sense it is marked like my friends OTR rig out there.

So, so Trucking Companies as a rule, have a place on their web site , updating all whom are concerned for their friends and loved ones on the road , if and when a accident occurs? ? ? :biggrin_25513:
