Do you prefer that no one parks next to you or would you prefer someone parks next to you before it gets dark and while there is enough room to maneuver?
Me being new I prefer to park next to two other trucks, while still daylight, and I usually go for spots easy to back into since I'm still a little gunshy. My thinking is that if I'm parked in the middle, I won't worry about getting hit in the middle of the night? Thoughts????

I prefer the back row and noone parks next to me.But that most likely never happens because by the time im up and ready to roll trks are on both sides. When you do park for the night, think before you park.Am I going to be able to get out alright.I prefer not parking in the middle row because sometimes drivers park to far ahead and you really have to swing wide and also have to be carefull about the row ahead .I try and find a spot next to the grass because of my dog.Do not eer pull in nose first because chances are you'll have a heck of a time backing out the next morning.Try as stay away from real busy trk stops.Drivers tend to park anywhere and have been known to block a driver in.Of course thats happened to me a few times and I have no problem waking the driver up at 2 am to move.I rather enjoy it,lol.

its not a bad thought but think about this you dont know how long either of those drivers have been there. and if you unsure of backing maybe doing it at the trucks stops will help you when you really need the skills at a very tight shipper ...it will happen. but all in all not a bad way to go about it starting out.

I prefer the first spot I can find since I normally don't like to stop during the day so by the time I get to a T/S to shut down I gotta hit the head and refuse to be the guy that parks at the fuel islands to run in n piss.

I park which ever is the easiest spot to get in and out and I try not to park where the create a spot people who sometimes don't care where they park won't block me in. I get nervious when backing so I usually try and get a easy spot.

I try to park away from everybody, but it never fails somebody will always park next to you when there s several open spaces. I may need that extra space to work on my truck or air my trailer tires etc. It also eliminates the fear of some inexperienced driver, or some driver having a bad day hitting my truck

Doesn't matter where I am,there will be a loud reefer come in right after me. I'll go to bed between two flatbeds and wake up with the loudest reefer in N America, when its Spring time and you don't have to have anything running. I was in idle aire a few years back and this old jalopy comes in and runs his reefer on and off on and off...umm it was idle aire for #### sakes!

I norm get in late and the only spot left is the hard one everyone else passed by. Lucky for me i got a 48 foot split axle flat bed with a dump valve so I can normally get in the hard spot. Given a choice i take the spot closest to the restrooms
