Have you looked into the electronic hooka cigarette things.
Ive seen then as cigarettes and as hookas. Granted they're not a grand hooka and look more like a cigar but they're the same premise without the large hooka and the burning coals.
If you're deadest on carrying a hooka I think you can pull it off as long as you pay attention. Maybe keep a fire extinguisher or maybe a water bottle close by incase it tips over.
Maybe use a milk crate or something to set it on?
I wouldn't worry too much about it being considered paraphanillia. Bongs and hookas are two different things and I assume you'll be carrying tobacco and coals as well. Plus it's very rare to get the can searched by DOTdogchimp Thanks this. -
I'm not concerned about a cop or a dot inspector finding it, I know its legal, I can prove its legal in a court of law, therefore ill let them say what they want about it.
I'd like to point out this isn't something I'd do while the truck is moving for obvious reasons, but I see the complications and dangers the coals present in a truck...and yes I always put the coals in water when I'm done. . .for the time being guess ill look for an electric one, or find a lounge I can park nearlilrich Thanks this. -
I'm sure you can pull it off. You'll be parked and as long as you pay attention you'll be safe. Aside from starting the coal you won't have any open flame and hell, people smoke in their truck and let the hot ash fly around. Kinda similar
I can't foresee any real issues if you're parked using it. Maybe aside from spilling some water here and there -
I don't know if I'm the only one but something about having burning coals a foot above 300 gallons of diesel fuel in a small space just doesn't seem like a bright idea.

If you get stopped by the boarder patrol or get searched by Military base official and He/She has no idea what that thing is? you are in for a long New and improved interrogation techniques. you gona have a very hard time explaining what that thing is even if they thought it was harmless they may use you to get attention and look like some patriot wana be Just so you can understand I got pulled over by a certified DOT officer while I was Bob Tailing from a load I just dropped in the yard and he said to me where is my freight bill? and after I told him what freight bill he wanted I'm not hauling a trailer he insisted that I should have it with me at all times just like my Lowg BBOOK
How about that?
Another officer in Mass I was asking for direction and he refused to talk to me unless I was wearing Steel Toe Boots first I don't know why?
But He may have wanted me to shove the steel boots where the sun don't shine ?
so there you have it Just Because someone has a badge don't mean the they know crap they are just authorized to dish it out
Stay cool on your stool & don't get a schmucks treat you like a foolLast edited: Jun 6, 2013

This may be the singularly worst idea in trucking I have ever heard of. That includes the team that cut a hole in the floor so they could take a crap without stopping.starmac Thanks this.
