My terminal manager runs 2 terminals so if theres no work at mine I go across the pond and work in Burlington.

Shift past 2k. That's why the other guy couldn't float. I can make one of our 460 mile lines runs with using the clutch twice. Off tracking, doubles do turn about as tight as a 53 at the 40. Just drive it like you would a stretched out 53 might look funny but you won't curb it. Its not until you add that third box do you really have to worry.

    WarVet and perufb Thank this.

All is still going well. Everything is done other than waiting for background to come back. My start date is June 17th and I decided to stick with the larger of the two terminals and will likely move closer after a while. I suppose having seniority over 1 person to start is still seniority lol. They do a split flex at this one so I should be able to choose between city and linehaul flex which is cool. Im thinking linehaul right now from reading other threads. I like money.

More Questions: How do they work the pay progression here in the midwest? Start is at 19.60hr/.45mile at my "class 2" terminal that has maybe 60 doors. When and how much is the first increase, 2nd, 3rd, top, etc.?
I noticed they just built a really nice Fed Ex terminal around the corner from Conway last year with like 100 doors or so. Is that something to be worried about? heck, maybe they will steal some our drivers and I'll get a bid sooner than later, yeehaa!

    Thanks again guys!

Good for you! You get your first raise at 1yr and its not very much, and every yr after until you reach top pay at 5yrs, the last raise in very substantial like 2 dollars. I wouldnt worry Fed Ex or any other competition. We have plenty of work at my terminal and we have UPS, FedEx, YRC, Old Dominion and at least 5 other local ltl carriers within a few miles of us and we have a small terminal only 14 doors.
