Hey guys and gals. I'ma 28 year old who had driven for seven years and then made the mistake of getting a DWI in my personal vehicle. 1 year later, here I am about to get my lisence back, and my ideas and lifestyle have changed. I've always driven local, no OTR,but with a DWI now on my record, I don't think I really have achoice. I'm trying to weigh the pro's and con's of OTR, as well as any lease to own programs. I haven't the sligtest clue on the expenses of an O.O., so any input would be great. Also, I've heard horror stories of ÿou'll be on a week and a half run, and home by christmas", yet 3 weeks later you still haven't been home, so any info on good and/or bad companies on that subject would be greatly apprieciated as well. Thanks y'all!
DWI Just got my lisence back, need help.

So, anybody have any good news for me? I've already known and seen the no DWI's in the past 3, 5, 10 yrs and soon. I'm not brand new to the trucking world. Thanks for your input LandShark, I assume you're saying that no insurance company would cover me as an O.O. I just need a job period, and I know there's more truckers out there who have made the same mistake I have, so any directions would be appreciated.

If you want the truth.
You do not have a chance. -
insurance is who dictates if you get hired or not. o/o or company driver. i'm not going to say its impossible, but you're gonna have a hard time finding a good company. sure someone else will chime in and give you names of companies that might hire you. just start applying to everyone, you mite get lucky.good luck
