Monteagle claims another one today.....

    Got flack for coming down Monteagle today at the speed limit.


    Ol' Boy at the bottom was a wonderful example of why you do....

    MM 149 he finally stopped with flames coming off his trailer right front brakes.

    Wow ... Went thru there myself today ... Probably happened afterwards ...that's crazy ...my rpm's were up in the 2000s too; but I saidz to myself " it'll hold it at 25 like this ..don't shift.. "

    Yeah people come barreling down through there all the time and you get to smell those brakes

    Not all trucks have jake brakes.

    One company years ago, the jake would only work while you had the brake on.

    If you don't have a jake I'm assuming you should know not to go down Monteagle in anything above 6th or 7th at the most, in a 10 speed truck anyway. Not sure what the gears would be on a different transmission.
