Noty really if it's something you want. Not to mention your keeping the enemy from getting a dime.
Depreciate it out in three years and if you buy it right and not put a zillion miles on it may get close to what you paid for it.
Get the money in cash and install in pocket.

It doesn't matter if its something you want or not, the pennies all fall the same regardless. As far as keeping the money from the enemey...... Whatever, I'll give them some money if it saves me money in the long run.

Alot of people don't know that buying something just to save money on taxes is not always the best financial move, that is why I pointed it out.

At home, but I got two new windshields in the Star today. No more sandblasted glare!

Unloaded this morning and rolled it to the Petro in Carlisle, PA. I had a feeling that I would be sitting all weekend. I was right. Carlisle has the Ford Nationals. Looks I may be getting a taxi ride this weekend. I don't feel comfortable leaving my step by itself. It never behaves itself in the parking lot.

I just looked at our loadboard and noticed a hazmat load going 1100 miles that could have loaded today.....if I had hazmat endorsement :biggrin_2557:

It was only roofing materials. Probably buckets of tar or something.

Well, subject to a good finance rate.......I will be buying the Star.
What swayed the deal besides what I consider and excellent trade in on my current 06 Columbia with 882k miles on it, is that the dealership is going to transfer my ramps, headache rack and a step box onto the new truck. I thought they were going to just slide the tanks forward to make room for the box and generator, but they are dropping the tanks, removing the whole brackets, and then reinstalling into existing holes to keep the brackets centered on the tanks.
Truck has full locking rears, $1000 of extra insulation on the cab and sleeper, and so on. But for some reason it has a non air ride passenger seat and a windy window on the drivers side. Sounds like someone spec'd out a work truck, but then considering the extra insulation and so on..... Full gauge package, Data Star, full cabinets in the sleeper, low voltage disconnect on the batteries, and full factory warranty starting when I sign on the dotted line. Wont say numbers publicly, but I believe it is a killer deal that will not come around again.

Westbound on 80 about to Des Moines. Not sure how far I'll drive tonight. Was shooting for York, NE but wouldn't be there till 2:30am and doubt I go that long. Sure is tough getting back out here after 2 weeks at home. Still no load out of ID for Monday so I will most likely DH down to SLC and hopefully find something for Tuesday load
