Ok younguns ,
your turn to teach an old guy, whats with the big ole coils on cb antennas and the antenna is at basically a 45 degree angle pointed forward as opposed to being vertical...
Now to the best of my knowledge as a cb'er and a submarine radioman..... These cb antennas are omni directional. Meaning they xmit and rcv 360 degrees . So what with the 45 degree angle , is this just the new cool look or what.... See all thesed hurky antennas but don't see or hear anyone talking on the radio, or did we quit using ch. 19 as sesame street...................whiskey tango foxtrot?
Do i need to get a cb?

Always thought they just wanted horns on their trucks

Haven't had a CB in the truck for over a year. Don't miss it one bit.

You set the antenna forward to avoid hitting trees and bridges with the whip 10-4.

You couldn't pay me to put a CB in my truck. I don't do pay phones either. Hello! It's 2013 calling, good buddy!
