    Can anyone recommend a good place we can stop at on I-40 California to I-40 Tennessee ?

    well thats a long way....the Little America in flagstaff has nice showers i am wanting to say ex 198? but i know its butler road... ....Russells Trucks stop at the 369 in NM (glen rio) has nice showers too and a car museum....mini grocery store...etc..they have a web site http://www.russellsttc.com/ we normally showered in flag.....

    OK I was off on the name of the town, lol but ya cant miss it, only thing out there in the middle of nowhere off the highway lol

    Yeah, if you stop at Little America, Flagstaff, Az. (exit 198) park across street in their BIG lot. It can get a little clustered in their original lot behind the fuel pumps sometimes. That's assuming you aren't fueling.

    Once I stopped at the NM welcome center at dusk. As I was walking back to the truck, I was stopped by a couple. They were driving an f150 pulling a trailer and didn't realize the last town in TX was a ghost town and were running on empty for 30 miles with the low fuel light on. They asked if there was a gas station nearby. I asked if they could see the lights in the distance to the west. They said yes. I told them it was Russell's Travel Center. The look of relief on their faces was priceless. :)
