YRC posted an operating profit this quarter. 64.8% was from YRC Freight and the rest was from YRC Worldwide but mostly from Reddaway, Holland and New Penn.

Sounds like you're about to get slammed. Maybe June?

Yeah I hope so. When we get slammed were start getting calls from central on the weekends to do turns. Or take two Empties and go. Haven't heard that yet. I'm lucky looks like I'm off til tues or weds.

That's why we are trying to get AbF they got the cash. It'll be nice to get that 15% back but they got YRC locked til 2015. Once YRC gets it back we'll get it back. But their gonna hold them to the contract so they can get more cash in there pockets.

My yard isn't union, is yours? They keep saying they are going to give us this and that but it really isn't so bad right now. I came to work here after that was gone so it didn't affect me. It would be nice to get a good wage bump though. I believe Reddaway is one of the lowest paid in ltl. Used to hear Reddaway was a really good company till YRC bought them. I heard Bestway was always bad. A lot of the guys complain about the 1 week of vacation they took away. There is also the 401k company contribution but they say that is coming back soon. Who knows? I have no union rep to talk to.

Not union here either. Yeah I wasn't around before the 15% but when you look at the other LTL companies it would be nice to be close to where they are. Before YRC took over I heard that Reddaway would out match the union wage and other perks to keep the union out.

Also from what I understand, it's the old Bestway yards that all voted in the union. For the most part anyway. When Yellow bought Roadway those guys were pissed! Same when FedEx bought Watkins and UPS bought Overnight. Reddaway doesn't talk well about YRC either. Especially the management.

Roadway yards still talk bad about yellow, I hear it all the time. Guess if it was roadway or USF who did the buyouts then it would be the other way around. I'd be mad of like FedEx or some other carrier bought us out now.

That would be terrible if FedEx or Conway bought YRC. I'd probably quit! Luckily I worked for YRC before so going into Reddaway was pretty much the same thing they had going on. The only difference is that most of the runs are lay down and to the same ol boring places. I miss running the rail all day and shuttling trailers to different yards. That was easy money. 300 bucks a day doing that and it was hourly pay. Also YRC sent me to Phoenix and lots of different areas, not just the lousy I-5. I so wish I could get back in there. Not hiring anyone out here in southern Cali though.

Guess we're busy now. Getting calls on the weekend from central. How's it going for everyone else?
