I heard no one in rockwall has over a year experience
but I heard it in the drivers lounge -
Isnt the drivers lounge kinda like the internet? If its on the internet it has to be true, so goes the drivers lounge. LOL.123456 Thanks this.

I hard trans am had 6 roll overs 2 death and lost perpass for 6 months all with in 3 months. now I have keeped up with trans am when I was over seas and a lot of driver lounge BS is just that.
ive called and talk to some to a lot of managers up there. and they just laugh at what drivers say lol. -
well there was one death
6 rollovers all in good weather
and the rating is so bad we lost prepass
this is from the guys in training
dash cams in all the trucks by September
and the 680's have some new braking system
you start 25-35 new drivers every week
cut the OTR training from 3 weeks to 8-10 days
what do you expectPanhandle flash Thanks this. -
yea I don't think 10 days is any kind of time to train anyone to go OTR. needs about 2 months if not more. that braking thing will cause more problems then good. they need to hire more experienced drivers to get the safety rating back up.
as for the dash cam as long as it don't have sound I can care less. I do talk military stuff that most people cant hear when im out on the road. soo yea sound has to be off lol -
I heard Sandy was fired for "fraternization", giving drivers her cell number and Facebook and stuff. But that could also be driver BS. Meg is the gal that replaced her and like I said before, I think she's fantastic.
Cant say Im thrilled about the drive cams, but as ling as its not watching me, I dont care. I drive as safe as possible. The "training" is a joke at this point. Three days OTR with a coach, straight out of school, and I still got my truck with the rest of the group. I was rather ill-prepared and have had to teach myself more than I should have to. My backing is still wonky at times because I was never taught how to set myself up for a good back in a realistic setting. And yet TransAm thinks I should be coaching. I did it twice cause I like Darren, but Im putting my foot down and not doing it anymore. I dont feel like contributing anymore to the blind leading the blind. I can perform my job safely and efficiently, but I dont feel like I have enough knowledge or experience to prepare a newer driver to do the same. Its not fair to either one of us.
On another note, I picked up a trailer yesterday with three tires that needed t be changed. One was almost totally bald. I got it taken care of in Little Rock, but the shop was backed up so I was 5 hours into a 10 before they were done with me and was past my 14. Because Arkansas sucks for night time parking, I had to leave the Petro because there was nowhere I could even play make-a-spot at that point. I continued aling my route, tryinf every truck stop and rest area in the book I passed, but everywhere was slammed full. I even tried to park at XXX World, but it was so full I barely squeezed out uf there without clipping something. Ended up in Red Banks, MS before I found a spot. Had there not been parking at the last travel plaza I tried, was just going to shut down on a ramp since I was 4 hours past my 14. Im waiting ti see if I get chewed out by Safety tomorrow for being in safe haven for 3.5 hours. And because of the whole tire thing, theres a chance I might not be able to deliver on-time. God forbid I hit any traffic that slows me down tomorrow. I barely have time to get fuel if I want to stay on schedule. -
Dash cams facing forward or facing driver?
-
we heard both but hard telling not knowin
-
The DriveCam I googled faces both the driver and the front of the truck.
